Berry Events Center

The Berry Events Center, inaugurated in October 1999, serves as a multi-purpose venue primarily for Northern Michigan University's men’s and women’s basketball teams, hockey team, and the US Olympic Education Center's short track speedskating squad. Named after the John Berry family, who generously donated $2 million to support its construction, the center honors John Berry, a proud alumnus of NMU from the class of 1971. This modern facility not only enhances the university's athletic programs but also contributes to the local community by hosting a variety of events. Its design and amenities make it an ideal location for sporting events and gatherings alike.
