The Cisneros Fontanals Art Foundation (CIFO) is located at 1018 North Miami Avenue, Miami, Florida 33136, not 5960 SW 57th Ave. CIFO does not provide meeting, conference, or event facilities. The foundation is primarily an art space dedicated to showcasing contemporary art exhibitions from the Ella Fontanals-Cisneros Collection, works by the foundation’s grantees, and commissioned artists. It features galleries and a piazza that serve as a dynamic gathering place for cultural exchange and dialogue between the city of Miami and the international art community.
The building, originally a warehouse built in 1936, underwent a dramatic redesign in 2005. It won a 2006 AIA Design Award for its unique façade featuring multicolored Bisazza tiles that create a stunning bamboo motif. The galleries provide an ideal raw space for displaying art and hosting special events, but they do not offer dedicated function rooms for meetings or conferences.
