The Maritime Museum, built in the Golden Age, has tastefully renovated multifunctional spaces in 2018 with high-tech facilities.

The Open Pleyn, the large historic courtyard of Het Scheepvaartmuseum with its spectacular glass roof, can be used for events all year round in the evenings. The nearly 1,000 LED lights in the roof make it possible to create any desired color and atmosphere. Three spacious rooms, named after admirals Tromp, De Ruyter and Van Heemskerck, with a view of the water, are inspiring meeting locations and are also particularly suitable for conferences, presentations, weddings and drinks.

With you as a client you contribute to the preservation of the maritime collection of the Maritime Museum. Nothing makes us happier than sharing this maritime collection with your guests. Get inspired during your event and visit our beautiful museum. We would like to think with you about how the purpose of your event can be combined with our museum content. This can be done through guided tours, beautiful objects at the table, a virtual reality experience, in game form and workshops.

A special feature of the Dutch museums is that Het Scheepvaartmuseum has its own kitchen and patisserie. From the biscuit with coffee to the smoked fish with our lunch, everything comes fresh from our own kitchen. We emphasize Dutch Cuisine; beautiful regional and seasonal products, a healthy vegetable-meat-fish ratio and inspired by our own Dutch cuisine and food culture. To meet your needs as much as possible, it is also possible to use external caterers, Select Catering is our preferred partner.
