The Museum of Arts and Crafts, established in 1880, is a prominent Renaissance building situated in the heart of downtown, showcasing European arts and crafts from the 1300s to the present day, including an impressive collection of paintings and silver. As one of the earliest institutions of its kind in Europe, the museum aims to preserve traditional trade values while fostering a new aesthetic culture for the upper class. In 1882, it also founded a Craft school, now known as the School for Applied Art and Design, to further its mission.
