Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Rijeka

The Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMSU) is a dynamic institution dedicated to showcasing a diverse range of sculptures, paintings, posters, and installations. Established in 1948, it began as a Gallery of Fine Art and has a rich history, moving from the Governor Palace to the University Library in 1956, and finally settling in a newly constructed building within the former Benčić industrial complex in 2017. The museum offers a cutting-edge space that highlights modern and contemporary art, appealing to a wide audience. Additionally, it operates a small salon gallery located on Rijeka's main street, Korzo, further enriching the local cultural scene.
