Museum of the African Diaspora

MoAD offers several function rooms that can be hired for various events, including meetings, conferences, and cultural events. The primary function rooms include:

• Entire Venue

• Capacity: Up to 300 guests (standing) or 270 guests (seated)
• Description: The Entire Venue is a comprehensive space that combines the Lobby and the Salon Room. It offers a dynamic fusion of vibrant colors and cultural richness, providing a unique and culturally enriching experience.
• Services: Wi-Fi, PA system, music speakers, projector, air conditioner, and flatscreen TV.

• Lobby

• Capacity: Up to 150 guests (seated) or 130 guests (standing)
• Description: The Lobby is a modern and inviting exhibition space with striking aesthetics. It serves as a versatile hub for various activities, celebrating the diverse stories of the African diaspora.
• Services: Wi-Fi, PA system, music speakers, projector, air conditioner, and flatscreen TV.

• Salon Room

• Capacity: Up to 100 guests (seated) or 90 guests (standing)
• Description: The Salon Room is a semi-private area designed with a modern and open concept. It serves as a canvas for artistic expression and storytelling, making it perfect for exhibitions, presentations, and various cultural events.

Catering and Facilities

• Catering Options: External catering is allowed, and in-house catering is available. Bringing your own catering/food is also permitted.

• Parking: Parking is available through nearby parking garages and street parking. It is advisable to arrive early to secure a convenient parking spot.

Event Policies

• Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made 7 days in advance will receive a full refund. Cancellations made between 7 days to 24 hours in advance will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations for events starting within 24 hours are non-refundable.
