Riverside Garden

The UC Riverside Botanic Gardens, located at 1 Botanic Gardens Drive, Riverside, CA 92507, offers a variety of meeting, conference, and event facilities. The primary function room is the UCR Botanic Gardens Meeting Room, which is used for official Gardens activities and programs, including lectures, workshops, member events, and special events such as plant sales and fundraisers.

Meeting Room Details

• Capacity: Suitable for groups of approximately 50-60 people.

• Amenities:

• A small but complete kitchen.
• A closet containing various tables and chairs (16 6' rectangular tables, 12 60" round tables, 55 40" round tables, and 18 30" round tables, along with 73 folding chairs).
• A ceiling-mounted screen available for use.
• Media equipment must be provided by the users (projector not included).
• Two small restrooms located in the entrance gatehouse, one of which is ADA accessible.

Rental Information

• Rental Cost:

• UCR Groups: $35 per hour during business hours (Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM) with a two-hour minimum of $70.00.
• After Business Hours: $87 per hour after 5:00 PM Monday - Friday and on Sundays, with a two-hour minimum of $174.00 (by exception only).

Additional Facilities

The gardens also house several other buildings and facilities, including:

• Gatehouse: Contains two small restrooms, one of which is ADA accessible.

• Staff Office and Equipment Space: Located in a garage near the entrance.

• Propagation Lath House: A greenhouse area for plant propagation.

• Schneider House: Houses the staff office and horticultural library.

Event Restrictions

To protect the collection and facilities, the gardens lawn is not available for rental, and private events such as parties, weddings, or receptions are not permitted at this time.
