Sághegy Fogadó & Panzió Étterem

Ság Mountain, located in the eastern part of Vas County in Kemenesalja, stands at an elevation of 291 meters above Celldömölk. Known as a witness mountain, it has a rich geological and historical significance, with basalt extraction occurring in the 20th century, now designated as a protected area. Notably, in 1891, the renowned physicist Lóránd Eötvös conducted measurements here using a torsion balance, contributing to the area's scientific history. The basalt from Ság Mountain was first utilized by the Romans for the construction of the Amber Road and roads leading to Sabaria, showcasing its long-standing importance in infrastructure development. Today, the mountain is appreciated for its natural beauty and historical relevance.
