Swedish American Hall

Swedish American Hall, located at 2174 Market St, San Francisco, CA 94114, is a historic private event space that offers a unique blend of Arts and Crafts style architecture and modern amenities. The venue is centrally located in the heart of San Francisco's Castro district and is a registered San Francisco historic landmark, built in 1907 by architect August Nordin.

Function Rooms and Capacities

The Swedish American Hall features three unique event spaces:

• Freja Hall: This room can accommodate up to 299 guests for standing receptions and up to 180 guests for banquet seating.

• Balder Hall: This room can accommodate up to 100 guests for standing receptions and up to 60 guests for banquet seating.

• Odin Room: This room can accommodate up to 150 guests for standing receptions and up to 90 guests for banquet seating.

• Cafe du Nord: Located in the basement, this speakeasy-style bar can accommodate up to 300 guests for standing receptions and up to 100 guests for banquet seating.

The Swedish American Hall is exclusively partnered with Got Light, a Bay Area premier wedding and event design production team, for all audiovisual needs. This partnership provides state-of-the-art lighting, video, audio, drape, staging, and more, ensuring a cutting-edge audiovisual experience.

Catering

The venue has a preferred catering list that includes San Francisco caterers known for their reputation, attention to detail, outstanding cuisine, and commitment to service and sustainability. Guests can work with any of the selected caterers for their events.

Rentals

Bright Event Rentals is the preferred rental partner of the Swedish American Hall, offering a wide range of equipment and event rental services, along with excellence in event décor and attention to detail.
