The Stage Door

The Stage door is the perfect venue for your special event, party or show. Private hires have included theatre & cabaret shows, live music gigs, birthday parties, hen do celebrations, baby showers, anniversaries, awards ceremonies, filming & film screenings, wedding receptions, dance classes, staff training, corporate conferences and much more. The theatre is a very flexible space and can be set up in traditional rows with a maximum of 135 seats, cabaret-style with tables seating approximately 80-90 or with empty floor space for music gigs or events. The maximum standing capacity is 170. The venue offers technical equipment including lighting, sound and a projector and a dressing room behind the stage. There are 2 bars at the rear of the theatre and 4 toilets. There's also the ability to provide catering for events as well and drinks packages. The venue is located on West Marlands Road, right in the heart of Southampton City Centre’s Cultural Quarter – just opposite the Guildhall and Civic Centre and a 5 or 10-minute walk from Southampton Central train station.
