The Sunset Room

The Sunset Room, located at 310 E 3rd St, Austin, TX 78701, is a gallery-style event space situated in the heart of the Convention Center and Historic Sixth Street Districts. Here is a detailed description of its meeting, conference, and event facilities:

Meeting and Event Facilities

• Indoor Space: The indoor area spans 3709 square feet, featuring exposed brick walls, original wood rafters, and oak floors. This space is designed for maximum flexibility and can accommodate various events, including corporate meetings, social gatherings, and weddings.

• Outdoor Space: An adjacent lot provides an additional 3900 square feet of outdoor space on the west side. This area can be used as an extension of the interior space for larger events and can be tented and turfed to accommodate different layouts. The outdoor lot has a capacity of 250-300 people.

Function Rooms and Capacities

• Standing Capacity: The indoor space can accommodate 250-300 people without furniture.

• Standard Cocktail Capacity: The venue can host 250 people for cocktail events.

• Theatre Capacity: The space can be set up for theatre-style seating, accommodating 125-175 people.

• Seated Banquet Capacity: For seated banquets, the capacity is 100-125 people.

Services

• Food and Beverage: The Sunset Room has an in-house beverage vendor that coordinates all beverage packages and bar staffing. Outside caterers are also welcome with approval from the venue.

• Sound, Production, and Lighting: The venue is well-equipped with state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems. It features a main PA system with Nexo PS15r2 speakers, Yamaha DXS18 subwoofers, and Nexo ID24 delay speakers. The system includes Shure QLXD2 wireless handheld microphones, Shure SM58s handheld microphones, and a Radial ProAV2 direct box. The mixing console is a Yamaha MG12XU 12-channel analog console. The stage lighting includes US and DS moving light spotlights, full color spectrum US moving light wash, and full color LED batten uplighting. The house lighting includes moving spotlights, a 20” mirror ball, and presentation walls for custom Gobos and logos.

• Event Production: The Sunset Room offers optional event production services through its in-house division, The Electric Company, for additional resources needed for events.

• Basic WiFi: The space provides basic WiFi, which can be boosted for high user counts or live streaming.
