The castle hotel is run by a company owned by 3 of the most important government-friendly businessmen, Sándor Csányi of OTP, Zsolt Hernádi of MOL and István Garancsi, a close friend of Orbán. The area around the property would be reclassified from a resort area to a mixed-use area to ensure that building restrictions do not hinder their investment. The project received HUF 8.6 billion in government subsidies through the Kisfaludy programme.
